Tashi Taliaferro, Executive Director

My journey started at the age of 2 with the death of my mother. It marked who I became, and it taught me the impermanence of life. Little did I know that her death would lead me to where I am today.

At a young age I clearly knew my life was about “service.” I wanted to “comfort those in need, in sorrow, & in pain.” I have always been asked when doing my hospice work. How do you do this? My answer is always the same: How can I NOT do this. The work chose me, and it is my heart’s calling. Helping a dying person on their sacred journey is one of the greatest gifts I have been given.  I am honored to be at their bedside.

I have been a nurse for over 30 years and my career has taken me on many journeys. From working in the Emergency Room, in Hospice , at the National Institute of Health, at the British & Canadian Embassy in Prague,  to being the founder and director of an International Medical Clinic, I have an entrepreneur and visionary spirit. Presently, I am the Assistant Director of Nursing at Advanced Nursing & Home Support.

I have always lived life to its fullest. I just pray I have enough time to do all I want to do. I am at the point in my life where I have more time behind me then before me. I want to give back because of all I have been given.

The Good Hearts Foundation is about neighbors helping neighbors.

We envision a world in which no one dies alone, unless by choice.

We are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity, this will benefit so many.

With grace and gratitude, we thank you.
